FASHION: STATEMENT SOCK TREND

Far from being boring, socks are an exciting and relatively cheap accessory to lift one’s wardrobe into looking uber cool. As seen on International Leisure Travel themed runways, socks are everywhere and worn with absolutely everything; Prada’s scalloped and feminine skirts were paired with knee-high soccer socks while Gucci’s logo printed socks were worn with metallic pumps or loafers; Valentino sported striped socks worn beneath T-strap sandals and Stella McCartney took one step further including an 85% upcycled pair of her new sustainable socks accompanying her Autumn 2018 show’s invitation, to raise awareness of sustainability in the fashion industry.
