I’m completely obsessed with anything relating to CHANEL, so when the latest fragrance

landed in my hands I held on to the bottle oh so tight! CHANEL Chance Eau Tendre EDP fragrance is a gentle interpretation of the original and one I adore; read more here….

It is unpredictable and appears when you least expect it, but if you decide to seize it, anything is possible. “A chance came up, I seized it.” Mademoiselle Chanel knew that her real chance was the one of her own creation, a state of mind, a way of being”.

On first spray one can smell the citrus notes of grapefruit, before jasmine and rose essence waft through; the base note is white musk which balances the scent, creating a fruity flowery delightful composition.

This is a wonderful fresh fragrance suitable for everyday wear. I had the original CHANEL Chance Eau Tendre EDT when it came on the market a few years back , but this one is lovely indeed as it is more intense and lasts longer on your skin. Tres romantic, elegant and intoxicating. LOVE!!

I’ve worn CHANEL Chance Eau Tendre EDP everyday this past week as CHANEL has been on my mind, what with Karl Lagerfeld’s passing. As one of the most acclaimed fashion designers of the century, he will be sorely missed.

COCO MADEMOISELLE INTENSE EDP: FRAGRANCE FILE

Coco Mademoiselle Intense EDP is the latest addition to the Coco Mademoiselle fragrances, where Chanel’s house perfumer, Olivier Polge, (son of Jacques Polge, the nose behind the original Mademoiselle), masters a more intensified facet to the Coco Mademoiselle personality. By amplifying notes of earthy Patchouli infused with a warm woody Amber accord, Polge remains true to the original, asserting a more sensual sophisticated composition.

We were treated to an early preview of Coco Mademoiselle Intense EDP and I’ve been loving it ever since, as the joy of spritzing Chanel fragrances is the immediate immersion into the top notes, sans that alcohol whiff sometimes experienced with scents. Sicilian Orange and Calabrian Bergamot dominate the top notes intertwined by rose and jasmine at its heart; Tonka bean, Madagascar Vanilla and Patchouli sit at the base, creating an irresistibly bold and voluptuous scent.

CHANEL'S latest GALLERY jewellery collection

CHANEL celebrates its latest Gallery collection with Keira Knightley as the face, photographed by renowned photographer Sarah Moon. The collection, renewed only once every two years, takes its inspiration from the octagon shape of the Place Vendôme square, The Ritz Hotel and Chanel’s flagship haute jewellery boutique, all very much linked with Mademoiselle Chanel herself.

The twelve piece collection is reminiscent of art deco style of graphic pieces, with Sarah Moon bringing her ethereal and dreamy soft focus touch to these exquisite images. Using yellow gold, diamonds and quartz with lively additions of red and green tourmaline, malachite and innovative new techno ceramics, the pieces are dramatic, powerful and tres feminine! Kiera Knightley brings her sense of strength and softness to the campaign images to celebrate Chanel’s gorgeous Gallery collection, all totally out of my price bracket, but to look at is just as fab!

If there’s one legendary woman who stands out for me, it’s Chanel, not only for her incredible journey from humble beginnings to creating an empire, but for her independent and strong personality; she was passionate, free spirited and a rebel at heart. This is the interpretation of Chanel Gabrielle, the first fragrance Chanel has created in fifteen years.

“We were exploring this whole moment of before Coco – who she really was at the core and that’s what we wanted to express in this new fragrance,” says Christine Dagousset, global president of fragrance and beauty at Chanel.

Perfumer Olivier Polge created an imaginary white flower appealing to a carefree, flirty younger generation. Top citrusy notes sparkle with a dash of blackcurrant, exotic Jasmine, heady Orange Blossom, vibrant Ylang Ylang and creamier sweeter Grasse Tuberose make for a richer floral heart bouquet and warm Sandalwood and Musk keep it grounded for an elegant and sophisticated mix.

On first spray I experienced the rush of intense sweet blackcurrant and citrusy notes that settled into a complex and rich floral surprise. I’m inclined to like lighter floral notes so this appealed to my senses almost immediately, settling down into woody base notes; (sandalwood is one of my favourites as it feels warm and contained!) I could wear this as an everyday perfume as it’s light and after all, wearing anything Chanel automatically makes one feel sensual, brave and cool, don’t you agree? A timeless and classic brand.

The bottle is rather exceptional with thin linear lines making it light and transparent, as if suspended in space; facets throw off light reflections of a golden shade, synonymous with the sunny disposition of the character of the fragrance. The bottle is designed by Sylvie Legastelois, who wanted the bottle to be jewel-like, yet kept simple and in line with the classic bottle.

KRISTEN STEWART: The face of Chanel’s new Gabrielle fragrance

CHANEL is pleased to announce Kristen Stewart as the face of the campaign for GABRIELLE CHANEL, the new women’s fragrance.

Talented actress Kristen Stewart has been an ambassador for the House of CHANEL since 2013 and is currently featured in the campaign for the GABRIELLE bag by CHANEL, (totes coveted!) so it’s apt CHANEL has announced her as the face of the campaign for the upcoming perfume, GABRIELLE CHANEL.

Besides the Twilight saga (which began in 2008, good grief time flies!) Kristen Stewart has gone on to achieve acclaim for her roles in On the Road (2012), Clouds of Sils Maria (2014), Still Alice (2015), Cafe Society and Personal Shopper (2016).

Her directorial debut Come Swim has been screened at the Sundance Festival and the short movie will be showing at the Cannes Festival, which starts next week! Watch this space!
