“Each one is a beautiful object – even just sitting on a table. That’s my interpretation of timeless” – Charlotte Chesnais Jewellery Designer
I haven’t worn much jewellery since we were burgled last year because how do you replace sentimental rings and old, special family pieces? But, this hasn’t changed my fascination (and slight obsession) with looking at jewellery and French designer Charlotte Chesnais is on top of my lust-have list (so out of my price range, but it’s good to dream, right!).
After studying at the reputable Studio Bercot in Paris, Charlotte Chesnais joined Balenciaga as senior designer where for almost a decade she worked on the ready-to-wear collections and oversaw the launch of Balenciaga’s first jewellery collection. She collaborated with other designers like Kenzo, Paco Rabanne before deciding to do her own line of jewellery in silver and gold and in 2015 she was awarded the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Accessory award.
Her pieces are a juxtaposition of linear and curved lines, featuring abstract and bold shapes, circles and coils. Her jewellery, all handmade in France are found at some of the most prestigious boutiques around the world.

Last week Supermodel Kate Moss launched a limited edition jewellery line where she collaborated with her friend designer Ara Vartanian to create the Kate Moss x Ara Vartanian line.
Kate’s keen we get on board with the ‘mix ‘n match’ earrings trend. She told The Telegraph, “Nobody wears pairs of earrings any more; it’s old-fashioned. I like to throw it on, mix and match earrings. It’s cooler when it’s not styled so much,” so on that note, thankyou Kate, I’ll be grabbing my (many) mismatched earrings and wear them again!
Inspired by the mystic and old English legends, the limited collection consists of garnets, rubies, citrines, amethysts and diamonds set in 18kt gold. Shot at Kate’s house in the Cotswolds by photographer Fenton Bailey featuring Kate and four models from her own agency, Kate Moss Agency.
